Decided to do Woodvale as it is rarely open to the public....heres a list of what was there.... Static display consisted of XZ590/F Sea King ZJ236/X Griffin ZJ277 /77 Squirrel and 2 Grobs G-CGKX and G-CGKP which I think were to fly later on. Parked around the field were G-XMII EC135T on view outside its hangar and ZH124/TK Vigilant in the stalls area with the Cadets Visiting were G-BSVH Cub and the Jungmann pair of G-BZJV and G-CDJU/73.36 thses three having visited Barton earlier... Outside the civil hangar was Warrior G-BTFO and parked between hangar and tower was J.Provost XW325/G-BWGF coded 6 On the UAS apron were Grob 115s G-CGKW KU KR KS and G-BYXN The main purpose of my visit was hopefully to get the civvie "hangar queens".previous posts doubted the civil hangar would be open but a visiting owner allowed access and the following were noted..G-BGPJ Warrior G-BHMI and G-BCVJ C.172s G-CCVM and G-CDAE Rans G-FKNH Vagabond G-JUDE Robin and G-BVSS Jodel and Archer G-BGVZ The UAS hangar was closed but various gaps revealed Vigilants ZH193/UF ZH206/UM and ZJ968/SN and the last of the UAS Grobs G-CGKV and G-CGKT. There was supposedly a Microlight in the stalls area but a cool drink was next on the aggenda.. The only downside was a lack of info regarding when aircraft were due to display and the show was supposed to be closed at 5 with a Spitfire display..nothing on BBMF list so can only assume it would have been the N Wales one ...for completeness can anyone confirm? A pleasant 90 mins stay and got the ones I needed..thanks and well done to everyone for organising this event......loads of people coming in for the evening concert as well... regards Dave

I too attended this pleasant little event, it was nice to be able to just wander around in such a relaxed atmosphere whilst looking at the aircraft & talking with the crews without any fences or jobsworths interfering, well done Woodvale lets hope the airfield survives the government military cull for a 75th anniversary bash ;D
Anyway to complete the Log for the day, the following Aircraft displayed between 1930 -2000hrs during which time the excellent band had started to play.
- RAF Falcons dropped from Cessna caravan N208AF which in turn landed & departed shortly afterwards for Brize Norton
- VX281(120/VL)(G-RNHF) Hawker Sea Fury arrived overhead & performed a really spirited display then departed back to Yeovilton.
- XW325/G-BWGF Jet Provost departed to perform a 5minute low level display & then landed.
Neg G ;D
