They'll be going scheduled no way they'll charter for that, would be nice if they did KLM but may be mroe convenient timewise to go from Manchester.

Seem to recall LFC have been to Singapore before, in late July 2009, and returned overnight on a chartered Blue Line Airbus A.310 via a fuel stop at Bucharest.

Absolutely delighted to see that they went from Liverpool. A direct flight- with stop-overs before anyone picks me up on the detail - will give tremendous credibility to Liverpool in the eyes of the Chinese.

LFC have in the last decade adopted a policy of flying from Lpool unless impractical and great to see they arent moving from this despite the new owners.

Not to sure "The Chinese" need information the credibility on Liverpool City or FC as they run a massive part of Liverpool both legitimately and not so legitimately and have done for decades.

According to the blog on LFC.TV the flight was due to take off at 1430 for a 13.5 hour journey, stopping to refuel in Kazakhstan.

there was a flight on the screens in the departure lounge stating unknown destination, scheduled 1430 yesterday.
there was also an alitlia jet on the apron - did they go out on that or the one mentioned above?

The one above.
Dont know why the Alitalia aircraft was there but there was one a week or two back bringing school pupils in from Rome.
