Am I here to provoke you too LPL, as I also disagree with your point of view (a view which of course you are perfectly entitled to hold)? There is a difference you know.
It is fairly well known that one of the reasons EZY and RYR went to LPL in the first place was that at the time MAN didn't foresee the impact the locosts would have on the air travel business. As a result they wouldn't offer prices that LPL would, with the result that both airlines built significant bases at LPL. Reality then dawned at MAN that a big chunk of future air travel would be locost, and so they better get more interested. The result was that they were more prepared to come to deals with individual airlines on charging structures in order to have more appeal.
At LPL as most travel there is locost I suspect that the charges that different airlines negotiate are pretty similar. At MAN however they are dealing with a bigger range of airline/aircraft types from Emirates 380s, through charters, domestic turbo props to locosts. As such there will be a wider range of charges as they will make different calculations on indirect revenue they can expect from different airlines/routes (ie how much a passenger will spend in the shops).
Thus MAN are able to come up with a deal with Ryanair (if it as reports imply) where RYR pay less per passenger the more they carry. I presume this means that if a daily MAN-Charleroi flight carries 180 each way every day, the charge per pax will be less than if they only manage to carry 120. Nothing wrong with this - each airport has every right to set up their own charging structure.
The underlying cause of a lot of your emotion seems to be the idea that you raised in your first point on the topic, that MAN have offered specific inducements to RYR to move LPL routes to MAN. If that were true there is a fair chance that it would attract the attention of the competition authorities, and I'm also fairly sure that the LPL management would be crying foul at the same time. Do you have any evidence to support this claim, or is it because you can't see why RYR would set up a base at MAN when LPL is 35 miles down the road?
As a related aside - what was your view of the alleged agreement that EZY had with LPL that they wouldn't start routes from MAN that had to be renegotiated when EZY took over GB Airways and inherited a MAN base?

No, as I knew from your first post you are on here to provoke and nothing else.
Nothing to say with regards to you being provocative too? Not the first time you've dodged out of something when it seems Im on to something.
I notice how rather than debate, you call it provoking. End of the day im entitled to my opinions, as are you. Or is that just you throwing your toys out of the pram because someone dare challenge you.

LPL, seriously, grow up. You are really starting to look like a little child throwing his toys out of his pram. You throw out such eloquent words like 'provoke' at me, but take a look at yourself.
Used it a few times so far, but here goes again. Pot, Kettle, Black.

In other words, no. We will see what the MAN legal team, and no doubt a string of very expensive lawyers have to say about it all shall we?

What a load of self-posturing **** post #38 is. The person we don't trust on here is 'Delta 154'. So, he cannot trust us, we know that and hope he will quietly go away.
Somehow I hope that this marks the end of what started as a serious thread, but has degenerated into a pointless, point-scoring match.

The issue here is can both airports sustain the same airlines, my opinion is No. As for the battle going on - you both sound like you need a time out !!! -

Well from what I heard today the Ryanair crew have been told that they will be loosing 3 aircraft from LPL in the near future, so not just EZY reducing capacity, could RYR's be going to MAN though?
