Thanks Cityflier for those shots on a previous post of this thread of what are proving quite rare shots of aircraft while operated by Janes, before the Emerald name was adopted.
I have been provided with a large package of photos of aircraft at Liverpool in the period 1982 to 2006, but mostly 1998 to 2006. As this was the period that Emerald were so active at Liverpool, it is no great surprise that their aircraft feature frequently. These Tom McDonald photos are digitised from prints, so vary in quality and even though all the aircraft have already been covered multiple times on this popular thread, they do add some new in-hangar angles. As the shots are undated, they are arranged in alphabetical registration order.
G-AYIM in the Emerald scheme with larger Emerald logo on tail
Without the 'last two' visible on the nose wheel doors, unable to tell if this is G-AYYG or G-SOEI still in former Mount Cook scheme. With a white raydome (a shot further down of G-SOEI has a black one), I'm taking it that this is G-AYYG between November 1996 and November 1997 when repainted as G-OSOE.
Avro 748 srs 1, G-BEJD quite late in its flying career, probably very shortly before departing for Blackpool and the end of her flying days. This aircraft of course is now back at Liverpool on the Crowne Plaza former terminal apron under restoration by the team from SAHG.
G-BGMN in white and grey, but clearly has borrowed a nose cone from one of the Reed Aviation schemed aircraft
G-BGMO in the final Emerald colours, matching the BAe.ATPs scheme. The shot while inside one of the new South Airfield hangars is presumably during engineering work, including the fitting of two new nose wheel tyres.
In contrast, a series of 3 shots showing G-BIUV being worked on in the old No.1 hangar on the north airfield, emerging in March 1996 after a protracted overhaul and repaint, initially pulled out for engine runs on the Western Apron.
G-BVOU in Lynx Parcels Express colours - the only HS.748 to be painted in this scheme, so lack of the 'last two' on the nose wheel doors does not hinder identification.
G-ORCP in white and bare metal. One of the final HS.748s to be acquired, this shot is inside one of the South airfield hangars, so is quite an unusual shot, as the aircraft were not worked on under cover at Liverpool that frequently.
G-OSOE in Securicor Omega Express scheme and titles. The 'clutter' of empty trailers between mail operations was a frequent foreground
G-SOEI with the distinctive Mount Cook airlines logo tail scheme
Another HS.748 that retained its former colours while with Emerald was G-OTBA in Royal Tongan scheme
