FSX is awful of all FS i wouldnt recomend that one. Personally joysticks dont matter (price) i got a logitech joystick for £15 in comet,Speke. And my friend paid £60 for his and the only major difference is it lights up green (well- until the light went)

Fsx is a very resources heavy simulator unless you have a high end system I would avoid this like the plauge and go for Fs2004 which yes may not be a shiny or new but It runs a lot better . On the add ons front I say Rex , Aes and World of Ai are must haves with the first 2 being payware and World of Ai being freeware . As aircraft go the I think the best payware aircraft are usually from the big guns e.g. Wilco (Although avoid the A330/340) CLS (Great A340-500) PMDG (B737,B747,B1900 and J31) if your looking for light aircraft Just flight flying club is the best light aircraft add on (Pa28,38 seneca , C150 R44 ) and british airports although quite old now still covers all of England and Wales in 5 packages . And as for a site to buy all this from I use Simmarket which has the option for either Direct download on most products ; secure.simmarket.com/default-en.htmlAlso Just flight; www.justflight.com/This really should cover all you need to get a nice looking fs and as for Joystick I use what seems to be the most widely used the Logitech Extreme 3D pro which has served me well for about 3 years now and costed about £20 .

Thanks Nino and adamj for your input. I was told FSX wasn't as good as FS2004. And now that i've got your feedback, then thats more or less made my mind up. Thanks for the links and off to check them out
