The quote is
"We are not interested in the airline. We are not interested in other assets but we have an interest in the airport slots of Thomas Cook at Gatwick," CEO of the Hungarian LCC József Váradi said.

To give Jake's post context, it would be very surprising if any airport wasn't looking around for new operators, particularly if it had just lost one of its largest airlines. Both Gatwick and Manchester have substantial financial clout and to assume that neither was talking to Wizz would be foolhardy.

I know were Varna is cause I have been there, but not for a long time, but it is amazing you can never truly guess how well a route will do especially one that isn't very well known. and this one seems to be going around 90% full so long may it continue.

Wizz Air have set up 'Wizz Air Abu Dhabi'.
The airline will focus on establishing routes to markets in which Wizz Air has existing, high growth operations, namely central, eastern and western Europe, as well as the Indian subcontinent, Middle East and Africa over the long run.

Not sure if previously announced, but the Airport Facebook page is saying that Katowice services are being upgraded to an A321 for summer 2020. Warsaw, Budapest, Bucharest and now Katowice will all be A321.

Interestingly, Wizz Air are finding some work for their idle A321NEOs by operating rescue flights between Budapest and the USA and Canada. HA-LVC has routed Budapest - Keflavik - New York JFK - Los Angeles. The aircraft has just passed Colorado Springs heading back to New York JFK from Los Angeles.
Another NEO, HA-LVE, routed Budapest - Keflavik - Toronto - Miami. The aircraft is about to depart Miami heading for Chicago O'Hare.

The rest of the A321NEos have been kept busy too, HA-LVA, LVB, LVD, LVF & LVH have all been operating between Budapest and Beijing, via a tech stop in Nur Sultan in Kazakhstan.
