Good point, importantly just how many routes (all operators) does LJLA have to Eastern Europe this summer? Seems, looking at the route map on the LJLA site to be around 13, but without dependency on the whims and fortunes of a sole operator.
It would be good to see WizzAir develop more routes from LJLA to add to the well established Warsaw and Gdansk and the soon to be started Riga flight. I've no doubt that the re-invigorated management team will have been, and will continue to be, in discussions with WizzAir regarding the development of further connections into Liverpool in the future.

I feel sure that Wizzair will deliver more eventually. I like their cautious approach to expansion.

7 of the destinations offered by Wizz Air from Doncaster Sheffield are also available from Liverpool operated by Blue Air, Ryanair or Wizz Air (Bucharest, Gdansk, Poznan, Riga, Vilnius, Warsaw Chopin and Wroclaw).
The 3 destinations not operated from Liverpool are Katowice (although Krakow serves the same catchment area), Kosice and Lublin. Wizz Air also offers a link from DSA to Bydgoszcz via a bus link from Gdansk Airport.
The reason Bydgoszcz is not offered as a link from Liverpool with Wizz Air is because of the late arrival of the Liverpool flight into Gdansk.
Liverpool also has flights to Bacau, Bratislava, Krakow, Prague, Szczecin and Warsaw Modlin.
Central/East European Routes previously served from Liverpool which have since been discontinued are Budapest, Bydgoszcz, Dubrovnik, Katowice, Kaunas, Lodz, Lublin, Rzeszow, Tallin and Zadar.

New Riga route starts at Liverpool John Lennon Airport Wizz Air steps up services with twice-weekly link to Latvian capital Wizz Air, the largest low fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe, has started flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) to Riga. Their first service to the capital city of Latvia took off last Friday evening. Celebrations with passengers and airline staff took place ahead of the first departure, with airport staff presenting Wizz Air cabin crew with a special celebratory cake in the shape of a Wizz Air aircraft. The new flights operate twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays and this new destination becomes Wizz Air’s third route from Liverpool. The Hungarian-based airline commenced operations from LJLA in late 2004, operating flights to the Polish capital of Warsaw and the Baltic coastal city of Gdansk, also in Poland, and has recently increased its capacity on both these routes with a third weekly flight to each. With a rich cultural and historical heritage, Riga is already proving popular as a value-for-money, city break destination for travellers who are on the lookout for new locations to explore. Like Liverpool in 2008, Riga was the 2014 European Capital of Culture. Mark Povall, LJLA director of air service eevelopment, said: “Riga is a great destination for both business and leisure passengers. “The combination of Wizz Air’s low fares and a value-for-money, attractive destination such as Riga, should prove popular with the region’s passengers.” www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/business/new-riga-route-starts-liverpool-9126740

The new Riga route had 2412 passengers during its first full month of operation. I think that's 134 per flight so not a bad start.

Gdansk, Riga and Warsaw all return for the summer schedule however I'm not sure the first two are particularly attractive flight times.
It's a shame no new routes - hopefully further expansion soon as all three have good loads.

It's posted elsewhere that Gdansk increases from 3 flights per week to 4 next year.

You're right, Sunday Monday Wednesday and Friday! Not great flight get times though.
Good to see additional capacity - I think Wizz could do great with additional routes
