I believe that the Guernsey Air Rally will take place in June so the service could be some use to people wanting to attend this event. The event will take place 7th to the 9th of June.

I checked the flight this morning to book the time off work to visit relatives in Guernsey, but when I have just returned to the official flybe site to book the flight, Guernsey had disappeared as an option from LPL. Any ideas? Try the Blue Islands website, Harbourcotter.

Thanks for the response. The flybe site has now reinstated the Guernsey drop down and I have now booked my flight okay for May. I was a bit worried when it 'dropped off' the system, so it may have been a minor glitch, but now resolved. As stated previously there is a 'sale' on and the flights at the moment are very reasonable for Guernsey.

The new route touted last night is with flyBe to Guernsey at twice per week on Tuesday and Saturday from 1 June to 14 September. The timings for both days are dep Guernsey 1050 arr Liverpool 1220, dep Liverpool 1250 arr Guernsey 1420. There is a random flight from Guernsey on 21 May with no return as yet noted. I must have caught the airline uploading its flights midflow this morning. The flights now start fully from 21 May.

A few years back they were due to start flights but didn't start which wasn't surprising given the fares they were to charge. LPL, if you remember the holiday company that was operating the service went bust that is why the service never started. As I understand it was CI Travel Group were the ones going to sell flights/packages back in 2016. According to its website - www.citravelgroup.com/about - its still going and has been so for 30 years.

I'm beginning to wonder whether the Guernsey rout was the one the airport had been trailing on social media. There has been no reference on either their Facebook or Twitter feed, nothing on the news section of the website and Guernsey still isn't showing as a destination on the website. Odd, as they're usually quick to promote new routes.

It’s very strange. The Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn post where all removed the next day. The only reason we know it’s Flybe/blue island is because they have the new flights on sale.
The announcement maybe delayed due to the recent plane crash near the island and it was a little incentive. The Southend new service was announced Friday afternoon so hopefully it willl be announced soon.

Whoever has the burger concession at LJLA should stock up then! When the Aurigny crew arrived at Manchester, one of them would head straight to Burger King and get a load of food for the crew. Such fast food outlets are/were not allowed on Guernsey, I gather.

With today being the start of the summer timetabling period and with flyBe looking like they have tweaked timings this is how they are shaping up its Liverpool schedules at its peak in August.
Number of flights by non-based aircraft: 27 Number of routes flown: 3 Total number of seats: 4180
The route to the IOM has 23 rotations, Newquay 2 and Guernsey 2.
The gap I have mentioned before in the IOM schedules is still there, arrLPL1345 to depLPL1740, between Monday and Thursday. These times, with a slight alteration on some dates, look they operate from Monday 17 June to Thursday 5 Sept.
Could it be a new, to be announced, route that depLPL1435 arr???1540 dep???1610 arrLPL1715?
