With today being the start of the summer timetabling period and with flyBe looking like they have tweaked timings this is how they are shaping up its Liverpool schedules at its peak in August. Number of flights by non-based aircraft: 27 Number of routes flown: 3 Total number of seats: 4180 The route to the IOM has 23 rotations, Newquay 2 and Guernsey 2. The gap I have mentioned before in the IOM schedules is still there, arrLPL1345 to depLPL1740, between Monday and Thursday. These times, with a slight alteration on some dates, look they operate from Monday 17 June to Thursday 5 Sept. Could it be a new, to be announced, route that depLPL1435 arr???1540 dep???1610 arrLPL1715? London Heathrow perhaps ? A 1hr 05min slot seems doable right ? Or the return of Edinburgh ?They have announced daily flights to Heathrow from Guernsey and the Isle of Man.

Going by the dates available I would have thought it would be a more holiday route.

Any combination over the four slots of Newquay/Exeter/Cork/Knock/Belfast City or another IOM rotation.

Guernsey operates Tuesday and Saturdays with Blue Island ATR72's. The two Newquay flights operate Wednesdays and Saturdays. On Wednesday the aircaft arrLPL1030 from IOM, depLPL1105 to Newquay and then arrives back from there at 1345 before going back to the IOM at 1420. The Saturday timings are arrLPL1615 from the IOM then depLPL1700 to Newquay and then arrives back from there at 1940 before going back to the IOM at 2010.

One for those who have worked at the sharp end. Do crew hours come into these considerations as well as aircraft flying availability?

Regarding the week in August I use a new check has now shown the IOM route has now dropped to 19 rotations per week. The flight dropped is the one that was showing a gap with the long turnaround on the ground at LPL. The follow on is that there won't be the possible extra route too.

Winter 19/20 now on sale. Sorry haven't done any proper analysis but at first glance (a Friday in Feb) it would appear there's some reduction in the LPL-IOM service and schedule changes. I might be wrong - it was only a quick glance.

my sister works in the airport as a PSA pushing prms to and from the aircraft she said the guernsey outbound flight had around 40 passengers onboard, i believe the aircraft has 68 seats.

As i go to Guernsey every year with the wife i thought i would check this flight out going 8th Sept coming back 14th Sept not really a good service LPL-IOM-IOM-LHR-LHR-GCI so altogether almost 7 hours to get to Guernsey crazy,i have found this with FlyBe before a lot of there flights are not direct.
PS depending on how far ahead you book i have got a flight MAN-GCI for as little as £150-00

Wardmanstuart, Blue Islands operate LPL to Guernsey direct on a Saturday and a Tuesday. 8th September is a Sunday.

A question born of ignorance rather than a real need to know on my part.
Are the Liverpool to Guernsey direct Blue Island service/fares shown on both Flybe and Blue Island's website/booking engine? If so do the fares/conditions (eg luggage, seat allocation add-ons, CC charges etc) match? Are there also travel agents/hotels etc creating their own I/T 'package' using the Liverpool flights?

Blue Islands website gives all the info but you can't book on the site, they link it through to the flyBe site instead.

I was shocked today when reading through my local paper to see a half page advert from Flybe for flights from Liverpool to Guernsey from £29.99. The news paper was “The Essex Chronicle”??
