There was also a display of large scale remote control models (about 3 foot in length), again the detail was amazing and they all had very realistic engine sound including gear changes All in all a great holiday in a great location. Managed to visit Compton Abbas, Staverton, Henstridge, Exeter, Bournemouth, Dunkeswell, Yeouvilton and the Agusta factory. Away from the planes we visited the Tank Museum, Monkey World, Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Brownsea Island and a great trip to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's restaurant. And to cap it all our cottage had a hide overlooking a badger set, we saw six badgers on one night Ian

Love the tank museum, i used to go with my Mum,Dad and 2 brothers, when i was 11 or 12, we stayed in Swanage, every year for our summer camping holidays, I have very happy memories of the area. I used to like the 1st world war tank, with a rather large shell hole in the side.. god help the fella who was sat in the seat. Great Photos by the way.

Visited many years ago--great museum--your photos are top quality. I recently bought a Franch publication on the history of tanks--to improve my French-it came with a series of matchbox sized tanks--will post a few photos if there is any interest.Nothing like as good as the ones in your photos but interesting specimens.

Went there when my eldest was about 18 months.....he's 24 now, as I needed the chopper in the museum, it was just an ordinary day and the tanks were playing in the mud, tons of no photo's signs so nothing to show, but it was great to watch!!!!!
John :-) :-)
