While we're waiting for the arrival of Norwegian and their very distinctive tail designs, it got me thinking about favourite liveries and those which haven't stood the test of time! For my money, I've always liked those with very bold designs, and often different designs look better or worse on different aircraft too. At the moment, I enjoy the paint job on Thai Airways, and think I'll like the new American when its launched. What I dont want to see is a return to the strange offerings such as Ecuatoriana in the 70s and 80s as in this B720 example. www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=7008221&nseq=1Far too much for my taste! Thank Gd they don't have one from an old Canadian reading book series for juniors--one of the series was called "Shag the Caribou" --must get lonely in Northern Canada. I removed them from our bookshelves --discreetly as questions were beginnjng to be asked and you can't fool city kids even if they are from Leeds.

Somehow an all orange SP looks a little more impressive than G-EZUI. :-)
