Royal Canadian Air Force, being used in Canada as multi-engined pilot trainers, during late WW2.
Wooden construction, so similar in concept and use to the Airspeed Oxford.

RCAF serial on the top photo is likely 7770, and on the second photo appears to be 7748 although image is back-to-front. The aircraft are Cessna Crane 1s, the Canadian name for the Cessna Bobcat. There is a Cessna T-50/AT-17/UC-78/JRC-1 Bobcat/Crane production list on the web, but it lacks any details other than a C/no and serial match. Both serials are on the listing and were early production aircraft. There is a Wikipedia entry for the type.
The flat Prairie landscape in the background is no surprise. The difference between training over that flat terrain and flying wartime operations over Britain and Europe at night, being shot at must have been a great contrast for the pilots and navigators trained in Canada.
Anyone know their Air Force cloth badges on the right arm? Is the single horizontal propeller a LAC Leading Aircraftsman? More difficult to see properly the top badge nearest the shoulder appear to be a pilots's wings, another could be a name or unit, while the square one I'm not just unsure about, but clueless. I'm outside my knowledge 'comfort zone' on this.
Aircraft appears to be straight and level, small amount of sink, flying at a little over 120 mph (or would airspeed be in knots?), cannot make out the height or direction though.
