Around 1730 from a distance I watched a blue fuselaged high-wing single depart 09 and head off northwards, closely followed by a Cherokee. Anyone know what the high-wing was ?

Viscount, the only two together at that time were G-AJKB Luscombe and G-WARW Cherokee. Only thing is that the Luscombe is blue but a high wing.Regards Beemer.

Ah yes, the Luscombe would fit the bill - much smoother looking than a Cub or Citabria. The dark blue fuselage colours of G-AJKB certainly fit too. The Cherokee behind may just have been heading for the same VRP (presumably Aintree).
