Recent deliveries have been of VDL (formerly DAF) SB200 chasis with Wright Pulsar B44F, bodies built in Ballymena, Northern Ireland and Volvo B5LH hybrids with Wright Gemini 2 double deck, again bodies built in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.

Speedbird them cameras are just CCTV and flick to a monitor in the cab to allow the driver to see. they are dotted all round and some are hidden in the front screen aswel to monitor the road ahead

Having said that they are often supplemented with Wrightbus Eclipse Gemini's built in Ballymena, Northern Ireland in 2011 and these may well be the new ones you've seen. The new green liveried Wirral ones are Wrightbus Gemini, Ballymena built Hybrids Diesel electric Volvo B5's. Speedbird, the only camera on those utilised as a driver aid is for reversing which also doubles as a security one for people opening the engine cover, all others are purly traffic/passenger incident. Although I haven't driven the Pulsar, as far as I'm aware, anything to do with overhang is solely unaided driver judgment.
