Tonights EK19 is being operated by an A380 A6-EED, due to arrive @ 19:27.
I have found out why, EK18 A6-EDV has gone tech and still on the ground.

The A380 was sat on the apron for around an hour this afternoon, after being pushed back, surrounded by the airports fire crew.

The A380 on the EK19/20 is nothing to do with the tech EK18.
The EK19/20 is scheduled to be an A380 from tonight until 30th Sept due to high loads.

The A380 on the EK19/20 is nothing to do with the tech EK18. The EK19/20 is scheduled to be an A380 from tonight until 30th Sept due to high loads. Thanks for the update, i had not heard about the extra A380 Flights, everyone will have more chance of logging them especially as A6-EEJ has just been delivered two days ago. Update: EK18 A6-EDV was taxiing for departure @ 22:49, but has stopped on the apron near the Airport Hotel. It looks like it has more problems as Flightstats is showing that it departed @ 22:33, MAN Departures Board has no information. Update: A6-EDV taxied down Runway 23R @ 23:29 and parked next to Thomas Cook Aircraft Engineering. According to PlaneMad the Aircraft now has Tyre problems. www.plane-mad.com/forums/manchester/man6568-man-movements-september-2013.html
