G-MONX & G-OZBB will visit either tonight or tomorrow for their Final checks at MAN before heading off to Tupelo for scrapping

G-MONX & G-OZBB will visit either tonight or tomorrow for their Final checks at MAN before heading off to Tupelo for scrapping I'm quite surprised to see they are nearly 20 years old. Are they being scrapped for that reason or are Monarch just modernising. I thought 20 years was still a usable age for a plane..

Flew on G-MONX many times from Liverpool - it always seemed to be the based aircraft with Direct Holidays.. I presume it will be the number of landings it'll have done rather than just age? I think it will also be due to the glut of 2nd hand aircraft in storage - probably worth more for scrap
