It's a scandal that this aircraft is spending so much time in the south and east of the UK. Apparently there are no plans to fly it over Chadderton or Woodford. I am well aware that BAE no longer has a presence there, but that's (mainly) where they were built and there are many people in the area with close connections to those who built them.

Be lovely if they both did a nice low slow flypast over Liverpool.........

Let`s hope an enterprising soul persuades the two Lancasters to do a trip to LPJL as a flyby and down the River en-route to the show. Two Lancasters passing the three Graces would be a shot to keep.

It will be great to see the Lancs,I will be in kent next week, when they flypast Detling on their way to the wings and wheels event at Dunsfold,Not sure if its widely known but the Canadian warplane heritage museum offer flights in the Lanc(and some other very interesting aircraft)for what dosent seem a massive ammount, you need to be a member and take out an upgrade to the fee depending on which aircraft you choose, mostly from their base at Hamilton airport Ont,Canada. www.warplane.com/visit-cwhm/vintage-aircraft-flights/flight-form.aspx?AircraftId=4

The Canadian Lancaster has gone tech at Bournemouth. It appears she displayed Thursday and Friday but has cancelled the Saturday and Sunday displays ( 30th and 31st Aug) Whether the a/c stays in Bournemouth for repairs of limps back to Coningsby remains to be seen.
On my behalf thats 2 attempts to see them fly together failed miserably. This will also affect Shoreham air show and any other imminent ones.
Regards John 'flightpath'.
