Exercise has now finished I believe. Well that was fun! Great professionalism by all involved, especially the pilots in quite tight spots.

Hi All at 13:20 local a C130 transitted Huyton heading SE at approx 5 thousand feet interestingly what took my attention was at first a very slow moving a/c just below it at approx 3ooo feet but with the binos it turned out to be a very large butterfly shaped craft just hanging there -- purple transparent wings and a light tan body --- very strange --- it stayed on location for approx 10 minutes much to big to be a kite and no chaps I have not been on the sauce !!!! any ideas

Main stuff is over now it's all about debrief and sorting through rubble, securing gas leaks etc. Chinook is still flying around every so often however.

Could the UFO be a drone of some sort, they seem to be getting used more and more in the area ?
