Jack I think you will find that most of the show aircraft will be based at Blackpool with some of the smaller aircraft at Woodvale. I am sure there will be a list out there of where they will be based. Regards Beemer.

All props are at Woodvale along with helicopters. Bbmf and Canadian lanc will be at Blackpool. That was from the shows director on twitter when I asked him during their Q and A last week . He didn't know where the jet components will be based as yet. Hope this helps! I spend Sunday at Woodvale and it's always a good day out. If you need any location tips ect p.m me buddy.

Thank you for the link to the twitter feed - useful information indeed. I have noted the Two Lancasters flypast Cottington (Notts) at 14.10hrs on Saturday, so does anyone know the probable flight path for the Lancasters to Southport please, I know in the past, occasionaly some of the particpating aircraft flydown the Mersey, past the LJL Airport (it would be nice) on route, so anyone know this may happen for the Two Lancasters I wonder? Also noted on the Blackpool Twitter feed, only 8 (eight) Red Arrows on Sunday, is that correct?
Thank you and regards, Doug (8A Rail).

Hi Doug, it really depends what their plans are before their slot I.e if they're down south or not with regards to their routing it really is just a see on the day job. If I get any information I'll try post on here . I'm not aware of them dropping to 8 but we'll see, I hope not! Hope it's just a typo. They depart overseas after their display so I should hope all aircraft are there, as I think it's one of their last UK appearances this year.

An active weekend for the 'Red Arrows'. Their website gives their transit and display times - but not routing or number of aircraft involved!
Saturday 20th: Dep Scampton 1100, arrive Blackpool 1125. Dep BLK 1348, display Southport start 1400, return to BLK 1427 and night stop
Sunday 21st: Dep BLK 1148, display Southport commences 1200, return to BLK 1227. Depart BLK 1415, arrive at Rennes, France 1615 (French local)
During the following week they travel on from Rennes (display 21st), to Mahon, Menorca (Mon 22nd), Athens (Fri 25th) and Malta (Sun 28th)
Personally I see little chance of a transit through LJLA airspace and an Airport fly-by this year given their routings and workload.

Thank You AC2348 and Viscount, much appreciated for your replies. I am actually referring to the Two Lancasters (not the Red Arrows) as I have indicated the Lancasters are doing a flypast in Nottinghamshire prior to flying direct to Southport, hence possible routing enquiry.
If you are curious, I am scheduled to be visiting Fidlers Ferry Power Station approx 13.00hrs on Saturday, hence the interest of a possible route of the Lancasters. Hopefully all being well will see Lancasters at Southport on Sunday. Thank You again for you time and assistance.
