Brussels Zaventem - 12th September 2014

After the 30min delay on the flight to Charleroi from MAN, then the good 30min wait in the queue for the hire car, ended up arriving at Brussels Zaventem at 1100hrs....which meant in the hour that was lost we missed out on 3 x Jet Airways A330's and a Brussels A330 - all of which would have hit the book :-(

We parked on top of Parking 3 which gave views over the landing on Runway 01 and departures off 07R.

Runway 07L could be partially seen from the area near to the elevators and departures could be monitored as they lined up - but to be fair, this runway was hardly used apart from the odd mil plus the departing biz.

Parking on P3 cost Euro 20 for the day (only daily rates).

We stayed here until just after 1545hrs, then headed up to Grimbergen, then back to Zaventem for a quick look on Parking 1 at approx. 1700hrs (hourly rate parking of Euro 4) and a look at the biz area for any additions, before a quick circuit past the Melsbroek military side.
