Hi Folks, Kick-starting this section, here's a selection of widebodied aircraft at Manchester in the 1970s... Laker DC-10 G-AZZC Gulf Air Tri-Star G-BDCX, believed crew training Gulf Air Tri-Star G-BDCX (only reg'd as such 1/76 - 4/76), later became A4O-TX BA 747 G-AWNO gets airborne CP-Air 747 taxies onto stand. I even flew on the Wardair 747 & DC-10's in the days when you could request a visit to the cockpit!

These were the best reason to get up at 5:30 on a Saturday morning and take the bus to MAN, spend a day watching these beauties, with a bag of butties and the latest edition of CAM then trek home early in the evening full of photos and memories! Kids these days dont know what they missed,

Nice to see a shot og G-AWNO it did split loads with Prestwick in the early 1080's and as far as I can recall operated the last schedule flight into Pretwick across the Atlantic#
