Sunday June 14th.
Just a couple of reminders really. Especially to those who like the photography aspect.
The show gives you access to the maintenance hangars ( Jaguars, Tornado etc )
The TSR 2 is being rolled out to the static line this year, and there should be a Jaguar fast taxi run. Vulcan is confirmed. Look forward to seeing you there.
Regards John 'flightpath'.

Re Cosford air show, note that if you don't already have a ticket, the RAF organisers are saying phone and online tickets are now SOLD OUT.
There will be NO ticket sales "on the gate".
Regards, Lee.

The RAF Cosford official air show site seems rather devoid of a list of participants, or perhaps I looked at the wrong pages. However this site describes the themes and lists the participants clearly. www.air-shows.org.uk/airshow-previews-and-reviews/2015-preview-raf-cosford-air-show/Yes, mainly military, plus civilian aerobatic teams, and civilian historic aircraft most in period military markings. Only large civiian participant is a Boeing 727! Entrance to the museum is included in the air display entrance, and there are a very limited number of civilian schemed and registered aircraft and helicopters included. Noticed that on another forum, that Cosford tickets were sold out around a week ago, so anyone without advance tickets will be turned away - you cannot pay on the day. A number of the participants also appear not so far away at Welshpool - but last year they were caught out without sufficient parking, so there was traffic chaos.

Cosfords Airshow website does have a list of participating aircraft and can be found at the following link:- www.cosfordairshow.co.uk/intheair.phpShould be a good Show, its a pity that the Polish Mig 29 has cancelled, due to all Mig 29's (Polish) being grounded over a technical issue.

Have to agree, good show, just a pity some participants couldn't make it, they were :
RAF Typhoon in BoB colour scheme ( Gone tech ) RAF Tornado GR4 ( reason unknown ) Polish Mig 29's ( Grounded due to recent incident ) RAF Hercules ( Engine problems, couldn't find a spare Aircraft in time) Dutch Navy Orion ( Gone tech) French Mirage 2000 display team. ( Probably on strike LOL )
Credit must go to the organisers though for getting all the Jaguars out on show + Harriers + Tornado's and TSR 2 parked out in the sunshine. Once I have unravelled my list I will get a report on here.
Cheers John 'flightpath'.

Any member have an idea which UK US Military Base has cancelled its Air Show due to serious concerns of allowing huge numbers of people into a Military Establishment due to terrorist concerns. It was announced in a TV News programmes today Saturday but I missed the location as I was leaving the room as it came on and was only mentioned in a fleeting remark by the newcaster.

RAF Feltwell. "The U.S. Air Force has cancelled planned Independence Day celebrations at a Norfolk RAF base due to the increased risk of a Jihadi terror attack. The two-day festival was due to be hosted by U.S crew based in RAF Lakenheath and Mildenhall, home to the 48th Fighter Wing at the nearby RAF Feltwell in Norfolk. Among the highlights of the show was to be a display by the RAF Red Arrows as well as the RAF Falcons parachute team." Regards Beemer.

Thanks Brian for the answer. I suppose in these days of a hightened terror alert status it will happen more often with Military Airbases and airshows.
