Nice fancy flying JFK . I wanted to ask the static heli pilot (pier head) if they had a detent on the collective, to take out the tedium of constant pressure on sustained flight but they were overun with visitors so I couldn't get a look in !! maybe Alex could answer this one Cheers, ib

And he waited patiently all that time in the hover for that casual service ? The pilot hadn`t actually settled the aircraft on the ground to a proper stop before the marshaller walked off, he looked very uninterested to me. (and yes I have done marshalling)

I Would like to make a few points
1. When aircraft book in for handling they are asked to call us on our VHF frequency before they call Liverpool approach if they are VFR to give us an ETA - This guy never
2. There are 2 very clear signs either side of the GA entrance saying "Visiting aircraft please call LAS Ops" - This guy missed them.
3. Once i had marshalled him down why would i stand there any longer than i needed to and get dust and crap blown into my face?
4. What were you doing on the mound? it is a private road and only flying school visitors and staff should be there. As you obviously doubt my commitment to the proffesion maybe i should should start reporting spotters who are wrongly parked there to airport police or security.

Does anybody else think that marshaller looks like Joe Mcellderry off Xfactor? ? maybe thats why he was late to meet the acft? probably warming up his vocals. P1 carl is right in what he says.... Next time we see any spotters standing on that PRIVATE ROAD we shall have to call the police. Just to show that we are INTERESTED in our jobs. And yes, he did have to pay for the service. Any other questions? ??

Yes he does look like Joe, even his movements on the video look like they have come straight, (odd choice of word in the circumstances) from the X-Factor stage

At least when Joe Mcellderry finishes singing a song he stays at the mic long enough to get a round of applause. It`s his job. Health and Safety would suggest Goggles.

you've had a week 2 reply and that's the best you can do?
The safety goggles would just fly off for a start, you should try standing under a hovering helicopter sometime.
How would you like it if i come down to your work and criticise you. If you like i can be more proffesional, especially with airport security, and have you spotters moved from the mound on a Saturday as you shouldn't be there
Get a life
