Hi, new member here thanks for approval! I have a set of five interesting photos of inside the clubhouse at Speke, i presume they are publicity photos for a publication or advertisement, judging by the notes to the rear.. The pics show the lounge, kitchen, bar, dining room, and a view of the building (with some small planes behind) I think they are from before the clubhouse was opened. Would love to share but being new to the forum am not sure how to? Best, Paul

Welcome to the Forum, Paul. Look forward to seeing the photos. To add photos you need to join Flickr or similar. Flickr is free to join and when you have joined copy and pasting to Forum comes easy. If you get stuck I am sure some one will help. Regards Beemer. (Administrator.)

Many thanks for your advice, I'll upload to imgur this eve after work (slow internet on phone) I've looked up a few of the tail numbers in one photo and the latest to be registered is an Avro 616, G-ACIF, from 1933, lined up with a few others and a couple of Gipsy Moths.

"PJonesAntique", welcome to our forum, and what a delightful set of mid 1930s photos. The location is on the original airport site, down near No 50 hangar, indeed between it and the river, accessed from Banks Road.

Just out of imterest, did these club rooms eventually turn into some sort of radio workshops before /during the late 50s/early 60s?.90( Speke) Sqn ATC was a couple of hundred yards inside the wire and down the lane from the Banks Lane gate towards what would have been the back of the clubhouse.I think.

On Tuesday I am hopefully collecting the originals of these 5 rare photographs of early Speke from Paul Jones on short loan to scan, clean and re-post and hopefully do the images justice. I sincerely thank him for permitting me the opportunity to do so.
I am always delighted when older photos of Speke turn-up out of the blue. It is one of the greatest rewards of moderating a forum, when older photos turn up and their value is realised, not in monetary terms, but in generously and openly sharing them with those who will most appreciate them and have knowledge about what is depicted. I continue to hope that one day someone connected to this forum (or FoLA) will find a previously 'undiscovered' set of 1933 Airport opening air display prints.
No matter how ordinary, faded grey or sepia, even weak focused or damaged older photo prints may appear, I know from experience that once digitally scanned they can be treated on the likes of Photoshop or Picasa and come up like new. From individual shots, to collections (prints, negatives or slides) even of more recent times in the '60s through to the '90s, if you have aviation related photos stored away from sight do please get in touch by PM, as what you consider ordinary shots, very likely are exciting to others.

Having found out what it is that his photos depict, the original poster has withdrawn the images, and permission for me to copy the originals.
Likely I'll delete this thread in a few days, as without images it is nothing.
