Hi All, A few shots from this morning. And great so see others are posting some great shots today. Westbound NAT traffic was less busy than normal at this time of year. Most aircraft were taking the South Wales exit corridor and others routing overhead Scotland. This is possibly due to high level winds from storm Imogen which is approaching the UK toady. Only 2 aircraft picked up in an hour or so First up, a Eurowings A332 D-AXGA unusual visitor as the destination was Montego Bay ,Jamaica. The normal routing being around 150-200mls south of our entry points. Perhaps NATS were very busy down Brecon way and decided to route this over us and slot her in to the normal track later on in the flight. 7/2/16 Eurowings EW134 D-AXGA CGN-MBJ FL360 Eurowings Airbus A330-200 D-AXGA by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Eurowings Airbus A330-200 D-AXGA by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Around 15 mins later , along came Air France 342, todays aircraft an A340-300 F-GLZR Big trail as is the norm with my favorite a/c type ! In 10 years or so, or perhaps even less, all of these will have gone to "meet their maker" down at Victorville as they will probably have been replaced with A350,A330neo or similar widebody twins. Sad really as the A340s look so majestic in the cruise. Their profile is still very similar to one of the aircraft that changed the world in the very early days of jet airliner design , the Boeing 707. 7/2/16 Air France AFR342 F-GLZR A343 CDG-YUL FL360 Air France Airbus A340 F-GLZR by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Air France Airbus A340 F-GLZR by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr We weather brought an end to the session after only 1 hr or so. Never known so much wet weather as we have had in recent months. Never mind, we are bound to get some better viewing conditions soon. Great to see others taking up the challenge as we have so much varied traffic crossing us daily,we live in a spotting paradise for high level stuff,it would be a shame if we did not photograph them. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for posting, the A340 is a lovely aircraft. Like you I have never known so much wet weather and here in the Pennines I think we have had only 3 dry days since mid October!

Hi polehill and thanks for your kind comments. I suspect that your location is considerably wetter than mine most of the year round so I do feel your pain. It has been awful weather of late. Also I note that this is your first post to this forum so Welcome to NWAN and glad you enjoyed the AF A340 shots. Best Regards, Mike.
