A few from today, First Lufthansa with one of a pair A340s in Star Alliance Livery to pass overhead this afternoon the first being D-AIGP. A tough one to edit as the lighting played havoc with my all manual WB & exposure camera settings on this one shot at 1/400sec it was way too overexposed with the whites blown out. First shot of the day, it takes a while to get it right. I rescued this partially in photoshop, not great, but a lot better than the original. Sometimes we forget just how hard camera settings used to be to get right in the film days. 10/2/16 D-AIGP A343 DLH482 FRA-TPA FL340 D-AIGP by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Heres the other Star Alliance A340 pair D-AIFA, A very close pass. 10/2/16 D-AIFA A343 DLH426 FRA-PHL FL360 D-AIFA by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Next up, KLM with one of their B772 aircraft PH-BQG. 10/2/16 PH-BQG B772 KLM641 AMS-JFK FL340 PH-BQG by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Next in the Trans-Atlantic queue was a rather Special aircraft. Firstly as it was a Lufthansa B748 Intercontinental variant, rather nice.. Second as it is the 1500th 747 maufactured by Boeing and the fuselage has a 1500th decal in yellow near the rear door. D-ABYP by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Heres a crop of that frame above showing the unique "1500th Boeing 747. Congratulations" markings "]A little unusual today. The aircraft passing at FL360 and above had no trails for an hour or so. During this time, along came by a BA 787 at FL380, a vey clear frame, im pleased with this. Pity she wasnt trailing though. 10/2/16 G-ZBKC B787 BA191 LHR-AUS FL380 G-ZBKC by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Last one of the day Alitalia A330 EI-EJG. On the wrong side of my location so flying into the sun at 38,000ft , no trail. 10/2/16 Alitalia EI-EJG A330 AZA604 MXP-JFK FL380 EI-EJG-AZA by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Thanks for Looking .
