I was being dragged round Tatton Park as a grumpy teenager when I saw a Noratlas go over, climbing out of, I assume, Manchester. Anyone happen to have it in their logbook? If so I am still missing a serial, photo would be priceless  |

Was not Liverpool airport, as there were no visits by Noratlas aircraft in 1970. 3 visits by German Noratlas in 1971, but none in August. Must have been Manchester. No access to my Mark Williams Ringway books or MAS magazines of the period at present, will be able to have a look shortly, unless someone gets an answer in first. There is good historical stuff about Ringway on the internet.

By sheer coincidence I am currently reading Mark Williams' Seventies Ringway.

Thanks guys. Pretty sure the 24th was the Bank Holiday Monday, hence the family outing!There is a nice photo of 53+20 on the 'net too  |
