Hi Guys, Want to see whats OTT today ? I will leave this experimental adsb receiving station online for most of the day depending on user traffic. The station features live adsb displayed on a map. Also there is station performance data graphing by hour/6hr/week etc. Hopefully it will show what can be achieved with a small cash outlay for the raspberrry pi and bits, and a few coding skills. We should have more feeding stations and I hope that by taking a look at the link below it may inspire you to become an adsb feeder. Click on the link below to connect to the receiver. mersey-radar.no-ip.org/Please let me know what you think. This is not my main adsb station, the data for that one is here uk.flightaware.com/adsb/stats/user/Radiostationx

Mike, Thanks for posting the link to Mersey Radar, it looks great and as you say it doesn't cost that much to build your own adsb station and become a feeder. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying an SBS or the new Plane Finder receiver or any of the others that are available. Here is a screen image of my setup and how far i can pick aircraft up from, Dump 1090 by Philip Robinson, on Flickr

Nice coverage Phil. The equipment for "Mersey Radar" is a very Heath Robinson affair, thrown together really ! Pi model b+ (very old model now with only 512mb ram), Just 8gb space on the sd card but the whole monitoring and graphing system is only taking up around 1.5gb of that. The pi is running "headless" not attached to a screen, mouse or keyboard Just Like yours.
Just the pi, antenna and dongle doing all this and broard casting on wifi from the pi adsb station sat on a bedroom window ledge to my router and on to the web via a dedicated reserved page.
