If you fancy and interesting trip out this Sunday the 18th September, why not come along to the Hooton Park Aviation and Transport show starting at 10am and running until 5pm with last admission at 4pm. Entry is free for those under 14 and £4 for all others. Use exit 6 off the M53 and follow signs for event parking. A fleet of Vintage Buses will be operating a complementary Park and Ride service to the main entrance gate. (Sat Nav Post code CH65 1BQ)
In addition to being able to access the historic World War One Hangars, buildings and museum, there will be a significant number of exhibits in and around the hangars.
Aircraft Cockpit sections including, Tornado, Jet Provost, Harrier, Sioux, Hunter, Venom, Sea Hawk, Avro Anson, V1 ‘Doodlebug’. Complete aircraft Auster, Slingsby T8 glider. You can sit inside the cockpit of a Fairey Gannet. View the restoration work taking place on our Vampire T11 jet trainer and a 1930’s Luton Minor light aircraft. View our next restoration project, the DH Chipmunk. This aircraft was used to fly the Berlin air corridor during the Cold War taking spy photographs of the Russian zone.
Also on display will be Aero Engines, Vintage Buses & Trucks, Military Vehicles including a very large self-propelled gun capable of firing shells over 20 miles. Singer Le Mans, 1960 Bedford Ambulance, Fire engine. Large Scale Model Aircraft. The Pochin Show Wagon featuring a 1929 Gardner 3J5 Two Stroke Reversible Marine Engine. Classic Cars and Bikes, including Jaguar Owners Club, MG Owners Club, American cars, BM Riders Club and Honda Gold Wings NW
Trojan Racing will be running Scalextric circuit racing, and members of Romiley Methodist Railway Modellers will be running three Model Railway Displays, Rothbury, The Harbour and Ledbach. The Merseyside Model group will have a selection of large scale model aircraft. Radio communication demonstration by Warrington Amateur Radio Club with a bespoke call sign for the day of GB2TAC.
Red Squirrel Workshop will be making wooden models for kids, and Ian Hough will have Vintage machine and hand tools on show.
There will be Art and Craft Stalls, Liscard Book Exchange second hand book stall, and Air Britain with books/photos & memorabilia

Refreshments by Willow Catering and a huge selection of fresh ice creams served from Angie’s Ice Cream Bike
