A crackin' day at Aintree was had by over twenty Forum members with a record number of helicopter visitors, being thirty in all counting the Police and TV camera ship. The weather was bright and sunny and my car temp gauge was showing 19.5 (°C) which is a bit nicer than it has been for the first two days of the Aintree festival the only downer was they were using 09 and not 27. This is my list, not possible without help from others of those seen to-day and I would like to thank Dave "barfleur" for collecting the numbers and call signs on the other two days.. Fantastic shots from the parking Barfluer , was waiting for those as always ! I say the same every year, but I'd love to be able to help out there (for the heli's area, not the national itself) , wonder if they ever need extra pairs of hands (for free..) I was back at the Barlow lane site again (Dave from Manchester was there as well) from after the national finished, until just after 19:10 when most had seemingly finished. Got a few that turned out OK with the sun to the side , will post a few later once I've sorted them out if no one minds yet more pics (was my first time out with the DSLR and pretty happy with what I've got !)

Quite a few shots of EI-LIM ,s76 owned by J.P McManus, Beemer got a lovely shot of it in the first batch. JP left just after the national back to .ie , went out low over me,next over Burbo wind farm, then 2 mls off Anglesey he headed out for the crossing. If you think the heli is cool, take a look at his house.. errrm castle !
