Las Salinas was until recent times a major source of income to the locals who extracted salt from what was a lagoon. Now a nature reserve and the home of flamingos with many migrating birds passing though. Just a couple of photos taken this morning. Not a twitcher so only the flamingos identified. Never knew there were Flamingos in Spain - I always associated them with South America. We learn every day

Outside Larnaca airport there are some salt pans and that was full of Flamingos when we where there. Beemer.

They had flamingos in the South of France at a place called Cannet Plage not far from Perpigian when I was on holiday there.
