These pictures are of the same model kit in 1/72nd scale, the original Matchbox and the Revell produced one from the original Matchbox mould but constructed nearly 35 years apart. Both very nice kits especially with the folded wings although I do prefer the Operation Granby Buccaneer. There's something about the desert scheme.

Thanks Chris. I'm with you on the desert scheme but the missus wasn't so now both sit on her bookcase The original one was sat in the loft for over 22 years until my son found it in a box with other models, some of which I have salvaged. If you look closely at the original one's canopy you'll see a few cracks caused from having to saw it in half so that it could be glued in the slide back position. No Dremel in those days just my old fret saw. Colin

I never spotted that on first view, I always worry about storage as half of mine come out looking like they have seen a war.
