I take it once she (G-BWMF) lands and goes into the hanger, she is to be broken up, and shipped to the US - will she then be airworthy when she is put back together or will she just be a museum artifact?

some history on the Meteor- Shes one of the only air-worthy T7's, she was part of the Classic Air Force. WA591 was built at Hucclecote in 1949 and served as a Pilot Trainer at various bases including Stradishall, Driffield, Finningley and the College of Air Warfare at Manby. It became a ground instruction airframe at St Athan but ended its military service as a gate guardian at RAF Woodvale. She was rescued in 1995 by "Meteor FLight" who spent many years in cramped conditions at Yatesbury undergoing restoration. The aircraft took to the skies at Kemble in 2011 and Subsequently joined the CAF fleet.
I think that's correct

From another forum, the intention is to put her back in the air fairly quickly. She is billed to appear at Oshkosh along with 2 Vampires to mark 'RAF 100'. It is also stated that at Liverpool Airport the outer wings will be removed, then the whole machine 'shrink-wrap' protected before loading onto a transporter to be taken to Seaforth.
