Once again the morning LCY rotation is cancelled, (would not have liked to seating in the chaos at LCY waiting ........); presumably G-CFLU problems have not been fixed. When we flew out last Friday 17th on G-CFLU; the maintenance guys were working on the rear door. I wonder if Eastern are just not bothered as they have lost the contract.

To the outside world, they've given the impression of not being bothered, for a long time! Presumably a late, and unexplained, cancellation such as today, would trigger EU261 claims, which I'd imagine Eastern (rather than BA) are responsible for?

Clearly G-CFLU is not fixed as Eastern are currently positioning in G-CIEC from Humberside, presumably to take the delayed lunchtime LCY rotation if the weather permits it to get in.
With regard to the rear door issue, I was wondering whether the issue might be pressurisation? It might explain them turning back after they reach a particular altitude. I think I recall that I saw it coming back from LCY recently and seems to have been at 9,000ft for quite a long distance, if Flighradar 24 was correct, which sometimes it isn't.

With foggy conditions most of the morning, surprisingly everything scheduled made it in, eventually. Also visiting were -
PA28-161 G-BGPL (after a diversion to Blackpool) for a short stay at W. Cessna 172S G-ISLY which went to M. Cessna 750 N950M (which was resident for a few months a couple of years back) parked on V. Agusta 109C N109TK from Botany Bay to Stony Mountain but diverted to RWY parking for about an hour on V. Cessna F172N G-CSCS.

Continued foggy evening, though optimistic EZY855 has actually left Gatwick! That said, heard a low overflight on R26 at 20.25 which turned out to be an A400 ZM415 calling TACT466. Think that's all I'll hear tonight - wonder if the mail will be able to land tomorrow morning

For info ATP SE-MAM arrived at around 5.30pm, presumably with today’s mail. It has now left on the usual evening mail flight to East Midlands.
Not surprisingly EZY G-EZEN has done some large holding patterns and is now climbing and heading south, presumably back to Gatwick
