The aprons will be jam packed come kick off on Sunday. 2-RBTS will depart Saturday to free up some space Am I missing some movements. Why will the airport be jam-packed. There are something like 25 marked stands of varying sizes. I know some biz-jets are as big as small airliners but others can share stands if necessary. Can't see any major congestion.

Yes, you probably are missing some movements. I guess Evoant is aware of those flights that are due to arrive for the match tomorrow, along with the need for enough stands for our own traffic, an AN-12, ENT B737-800 and a few large biz already on the ground. Biz on the main apron are rarely (to my memory) towed around but self-manoeuvre which will limit capacity...

I take your points. I don't know what is due tomorrow admittedly but I think there is still space. There are a number of medium and 1 proper wide-bodied stand that can take creative multiple parking.at Gatwick, we parked 3xA320 on a 747 size stand over Christmas/New Year. Unfortunately the airport didn't see fit to remove some or all of the grass islands by the remote stands. This would have allowed the aircraft to move straight off stand. They would be protected by mobile barriers. I forget what the official term for them is. The old access taxiways/lanes seem in a poor state, from Google Maps photo.
