I've never been able to find this airstrip, despite only living a few miles from it. It features in quite a few IOM reports, especially at TT race periods. A week or so ago a photo was posted on Facebook and that made me determined to have another go at finding it. So another three attempts later, success today! My big mistake was looking for it in a car - no chance! Then today I spotted a small public footpath sign, which surprised me because I had studied OS maps looking for possible footpaths. So ditch the car, and follow the footpath signs, just east of the Mount Rule Road / East Baldwin road junction. Easy! But in his memory the strip continues to function, as these photos show; Mount Rule IOM, 30 Nov 19 (1) w by Philip Pain, on Flickr Mount Rule IOM, 30 Nov 19 (2) w by Philip Pain, on Flickr Mount Rule IOM, 30 Nov 19 (3) w by Philip Pain, on Flickr The photos were all taken from the public footpath, and there is no need to stray onto private land.
