CNN Business news reports Boeing have stopped production of the aircraft until problems are rectified...whilst they are not laying staff off the effect on companies providing parts etc is not good news for them......

what worries me about all this is a kind of deja vu from 1990. I worked for a company that made a great product in the telecoms field. We knew that Motorola had something new coming along so it was decide to look for new features and cost cuttings. Our product was redesigned but there were some aspects difficult to make. The software guys assured us that they would put everything right in software. They didn't. What's more; every time the software was changed to fix a bug, new bugs appeared and not found until too late because of rushed testing. Finally the company went bust. I was lucky. I walked into another job which worked out well for me. Not so lucky for others. I hope this great company Boeing has the deep pockets to survive all this.
