Some photos as promised, my selection is not exhaustive as certain ultra-light types fall through my 'net of interest' I thought others may have posted some ? Ernest was instrumental in introducing the Jodel to the UK during the 70s, I recall seeing many in Civil Aircraft Markings registered to him. To sum up an enjoyable event in very pleasant weather, and a chance to catch up with some old faces after a year of hibernation.

Ernie Horsfall must have imported a dozen or more Jodels over the years; often clearing customs at Speke enroute from Le Touquet to Blackpool. Incidentally, I believe that the second and third pictures were of Jodels which were one time former residents at Speke, this is back in the 1970's. Finally, looking at the registration of the two tone green Rans RV6, it must be owned by a former Scouser! Some excellent pictures, looks like a very nice day out.

Very nice day out by the looks of it. I spotted RKID too.
A couple of years ago, I went to a Fly_In at Marennes, somewhat south of La Rochelle, for the 100th birthday of Jean Délémontez, one of the two co-founders of Jodel. It was a great day out and he was in fine form.

. Finally, looking at the registration of the two tone green Rans RV6, it must be owned by a former Scouser! I believe the RKID in G-RKID relates to phrase often used by one (or both) of the Gallagher brothers (from the band Oasis) ! MP
