I hadn't realised until informed by my good friend Kenny Airbus that the Spitfire G-OXVI/TD248/CR-S that performed admirably with all the other war birds at the RIAT was the very same aircraft that was the gate guardian at RAF Sealand. Regards Beemer.

Brian airliner.net has a superb shot of the spit as TD248 in the superb silver metal and red scheme it was given not long after it got back into the air after leaving its post at RAF Sealand
