Alan great photos but I have to tell you they are nearly twice the size they should be. The Forum norm is 1024 x 683 and yours are 2048 x 1365. It says so on the moving banner at the top of the page what the sizes should be and you can set FlickR to that size. Beemer.

Which explains very neatly why, using a mobile phone while on holiday in Southern Spain (technically for me a staycation) I have yet to see more than 1 image at any viewing of the Sywell photo thread.
The Proboards size rule is there for a reason. This is the only admin post I've felt a need to make during a week away from my PC.

Probably my last post, then. Not worth the earache or standing on the naughty step all day. Your loss.
PS Don't bother with a reply - I won't be returning to this thread

Now that I'm home and back on my PC, they now all open up after the slightest of hesitation, and are a very interesting set of types and colour schemes.
It is not a matter of a "naughty step" - it is just by not incorporating one step while posting via Flickr, you are depriving a minority (which in this case also happened to include me using a mobile device in a Spanish cafe) from seeing the very images that you wished to share!
Just as a general note to everyone, the 1024 pixel width is set by Proboards, our forum host (in the USA), not by NWAN Forum. As I understand it, each time someone opens up an 'oversized' image posted via an image host site, the image routes via downsizing through Proboards processors, which on a mobile device or, as I am at home on a weak internet link (not everyone has Broadband), this can take time or simply 'times-out'.
There is no picture quality advantage in posting at greater than 1024 pixel width as all images are displayed on NWAN and indeed most forum at that quality. Those posting at above 1024 pixel width just selfishly simply slow, or time-out, loading times for members viewing on less capable connections/equipment.
