Myself and the good lady made the most of the sunshine yesterday and took a drive down to Suffolk from the West Mids where we live and popped into Lakenheath for a 2 and a bit hour stay. 12 F15's took off, 6 of them returning in the time we were there. 1 more was visible parked outside a HAS and a further one as missed due to the sun being too bright and hazy to get the number as it was being towed around! 2 of the F15's took off both with no tanks fitted and did vertical climbs which looked amazing and noisy! The other 10 did standard take offs, still a great sight and sound. Our first trip out for a year spotting, so a good time was had. We popped into Mildenhall quickly to see he Alaskan KC135 AND C17, The KC135 looking good with a large Polar Bear on the tail, the C17 more difficult to see, also 7 or 8 based 135's were parked across the way. The Alaskan 135 being alongside the main road with the KC-10 next to it
F15'S seen where
86-165 parked outside HAS
1st 6 to take off in quick succession 84-019 84-027 86-166 86-175 86-156 84-046
2nd 6 again in quick succession

KC135 63-8028 KC-10 86-0035 C17 00-0185
Mildenhall very quiet with only 2 135's seen flying viewable from Lakenheath in the time we were there, and 1 Osprey unidentified.
