The College has been on my 'to do list' for a while so I combined it with a Hawarden / Chocks Away visit last Thursday. The Cessna 340 is dismantled in the car park with a section of Hawker 125 fuselage next to it. The latter has a label saying '9238' and it is alleged to be a series 1000 the problem being only 52 were built running from msn 259001 > 259052. 259*** was also used on the series 900XP in addition to HA-*** build numbers but not up to 259238. I guess we will never know and can only assume it was abandoned when the Chester line closed. The workshops were open and access was granted.

It looks totally different than when I was an apprentice at BAE and day release there. There was the prototype DH125 G-ARYA a Swift and a Gannet which was outside and the hydraulic systems functioned so we could activate the folding wings. The swift was later moved to Southampton for possible rebuilding to flight but it has been postponed many times I believe it was registered G-SWFT, as for the Gannet not sure what happened to that. Just after I finished my apprenticeship a piper turned up to be played with Richard
