Worth mentioning the Liverpool win as there will be a direct effect on movements but sadly the final is in Paris.
Its a shame it isnt Istanbul (who missed out due Covid).
Anything booked ?
Do we expect the Enter Air fleet or will everyone drive ?

Not everyone can take days off to drive to Paris. Paris has its advantages. Aircraft can make a couple of journeys, rather than one, if there is a shortage of aircraft. Not good for the spotters.

It could be a good haul for the final. Yes Paris is close so more will be able to go.More by surface and more by air. On the other hand there is the channel to cross: not exactly one of the best experiences at the moment. Anyway, whatever happens. Thanks LFC and good luck.

May well move the LFC and Paris comments out of the JLA daily thread to one of its own later - now done so. Once firm details of flights are known, then a further new thread on the JLA 'Charter Flights' section may be more appropriate, then once the final list is known, then the daily threads for 27th, 28th and 29th May will be the place to go to.
LFC have played in a final in Paris before, European Cup, Wednesday 27th May 1981 in the Parc del Princes. There they faced Real Madrid and won.
There were just 10 round trip charters from Liverpool Airport (including the team flight), using 6 different airlines, although 3 of the charters used wide-body aircraft (Laker DC-10s). That was par for the course for the early 1980s LFC finals played in Paris, Rome and Brussels.
At the time I wrote this about the Paris final: I suspect the same could well apply in 2022 too, even though EUFA have changed their policy, increasing ticket allocation to participating clubs fans since. As has already been mentioned the further away, the more travel by air becomes attractive. The original destination, Moscow, would have undoubtedly brought about a large airlift through JLA. Mind you IF two North West UK teams meet in Paris then there will be stress on all accommodation around and transportation to/from Paris that weekend, plus inflated prices as companies cash-in on the high demand bonanza.

Some charter flights are already arranged and more will be added. One company that I have used in the past (I won't name them) are charging £629 for a day trip!!! Departing around 8am and returning 330am approx next day. This doesn't even include transfers from CDG. They also have a 2 day option at £619. I'm a Man City fan and was looking at a day trip option from Manchester but expect similar prices to these so its going to be a no unless the club themselves provide cheaper flights.

The 28th May is obvious a day we will all remember!
Does anyone have a list of potential movements to Paris for the Champions League final? I'm aware that Air Caribes are looking at two flights but I've not heard of anything else.
Thanks, Chris

EasyJet scheduled service Paris flights went on sale at lunchtime. They were £450 return at 1245 today While moving posts around into this thread I have copied and pasted this information from the 'EasyJet News' thread. Have left the original in place, as to move it would leave subsequent posts relating to the Paris route (or lack of) hanging without context.
