Hi Folks, A few interesting military aircraft caught on camera while I was in Whitby, North Yorkshire in July and August. You expect to see the Rescue Sea Kings quite often (both the below were on missions where holidaymakers had got into trouble on cliffs/in sea), but the third sighting was a bit of a surprise - good job I had my camera handy! XZ599 This one (XZ594)was picking up a lad who'd fallen down rocks at Saltwick Bay This took me by surprise on Sat 24th July. Never seen a B-52 flying over Whitby before! Saw it flying over Scarborough next day and later found out it was displaying at the Sunderland seafront airshow. Cheers, Dave

Nice shots Dave, and great catch on the B-52! Came in for RIAT a few days previous and used callsign ICER 69 for duration of its stay in the UK. Did a few jollys up and down the country before departing on Weds 28th. Is an example from 5 BW at Minot.
Cheers Alex
