Some photos from a day and a half at the WAVE, Waddington, for the Cobra Warrior exercise. An interesting visit, with plenty of flying going on. Thankfully the hedge had been cut, so only a small ladder was needed. Needless to say, the car park was rammed.
Tuesday 14th:
The Red Arrows went up both days, doing their training over Scampton - their smoke trails were visible away to the north.

A pair of Saudi Typhoons arrived from Coningsby, where they were based for the exercise. I was pleased they visited, as it saved me a journey across the fen.

They left the same afternoon, but not before the runway controller noticed that the Maintenance Data Panel door had been left open on one of them (the small blue screen under the wing root):

The Belgian F-16s were first to fly, followed by the Indian Mirage 2000s then the Finnish F-18s.
