I have around 15 aircraft images that have a potential use on my threads in the Nostalgia Section which are currently ruined by a heavy yellow-brown colour cast. This was due to a single purchase of Orwo Colour transparency film in spring 1988. I never touched Horror Colour again after that, sticking to Fuji, Kodak or Agfa, until going digital. Removing this cast has proved well beyond my Picasa photo editing programme even though I have become very adept at using it so frequently over the years. One of the worst affected shots: See what I mean, the cast is so grim the image is quite unusable. That is reasonably clear, bright day - not a calima (Saharan dust) rain storm. Does anyone out there in NWANland have a photo editing programme that can cope with such a strong colour cast, has the skill set to make it work AND would be prepared to spend the time helping me by working to restore 15 images for me? I can easily provide the scans of the transparencies as e-mail attachments. In hope. Brian. Please contact me via PM or a post on this thread.

IMG-2nd-half-80s-BPJ-LPL-slides-0192 p (2) by Philip Pain, on Flickr Quick couple of minutes with my photo programs, just to show that restoration is possible. The corners can also be fixed. I can give it a go, if you email me high resolution versions. PM for my email if you don't have it. Phil

Certainly a great improvement and with a bit of tight cropping to take out the denser edges is usable - and this is one of the more densely affected images.
I be in touch by PM shortly. Brian.
