This Fred Olsen machine visited Speke a total of 9 times, the first being 6/4/1960 and the last being 1/7/61. I have no idea of the date of this picture but it was taken at 13-40 in the afternoon. Its possible I did not take it. Perhaps a "Hangar 50" swap from somebody. The slide was in poor shape. I have done my best with limited skills to make something of it. EDIT. By looking at the "Viscount Network" web site, (Which I should have done first) I see a similar picture from a slightly different angle, but at the same time of day, posted by Bob O'Brien, so maybe that's the origin of the slide which I have in my collection. If so, I hope I have not trodden on your toes, Bob! Or, perhaps we were standing next to each other, but not on your toes. Bob's picture in Viscount Network marks it as September 1961 which is interesting compared with my opening paragraph. LN-FOK Viscount Fred Olsen Lines Speke 1960 or 1961 by Ron Turner, on Flickr

Thanks Ron, my image came from Pete Whalleys collection which I have in my office upstairs, 1960, I would have been the tender age of 8, it would be a few more years before I had my first camera, but what I did have in the coming months was a shiny new Shorrock Mk 5 which although is not working now it takes pride of place in my office. Thanks for posting .
