Even though, like most of us on here, I have been a lifeling fan of aviation those that know me will know that commercial flying is not for me anymore. I am.compelled to take an aeroplane to see my daughter in Orlando. Here I am at CDG expecting to get on an Icelandair flight tomorrow via Keflavik to discover a 4 hour delay and no guarantee of connection with no flight to Orlando the next day. I am.fully checked in.before the delay was announced. Trying to.get info is useless. I gave up when I found I was number 351 in the queue. I reckon this is the last time.Sometimes delays happen. That's when customer service is supposed to step in.

Those days we knew many years ago when flying was fun and enjoyable are well gone I'm afraid, the bean counters took over and left us with the appalling mess the industry finds itself in today, good luck with your connections Best wishes Bob.

So yes, my flights were cancelled. We were rebooked United via Newark to Orlando. The Flying part if it was good esp.as we were allocated more leg room seating. Bravo to United. The same cannot be said of immigration at EWR where we queued for just more than 1 hour and half resulting in missed connection which also required a terminal change. Three.hour wait for the next flight. Our total journey time from leaving our overnight hotel at CDG was just under 24 hours.
It's not fun anymore.

And EWR was always one of the best ways to get to New York, so much of the business traffic preferred it as their port of entry, but I'm going back 6 years now Ron and it seems things have changed, enjoy your time with your family in lovely warm Florida. Bob.

This sory tale has not ended. Due to return from Orlando to Paris Friday, would you believe it by means of a Max 9 ? Risk of disruption advised. What fun awaits this time?
