I sure these are all great photo's but I've given up trying to look at them. I've clicked on the links but after waiting ages not all will appear and those that do are tiny. However, the ones I've seen are nice. Would love to be able to see the van mentioned in the Vanguard photo but I've tried four or five times to view it and it's just not playing ball. Could just be my PC or is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

If you go to your uploaded photo at your storage site, open it, right click on it and select "view image information" (if you are using Firefox browser - something similar if not), it will give you the actual image location URL, which is..... lh4.ggpht.com/_Jc1Vj6xHvj8/TLTvjjolBSI/AAAAAAAAArE/Kv4Kfu3PS1Y/image8003.jpg for the Euravia Connie If you then copy and paste this full URL within IMG /IMG tags in SQUARE brackets then you will make the picture appear here, thus..... It may be better to clump photos together rather than open a separate thread for each one too. Then you could just put a description above or below each photo, rather than create hoardes of new subjects. BTW, as far as I'm aware, Euravia became Britannia A/Ws by about 1964, so you must have taken that early sixties rather than late. Hope this helps, Cheers, Dave

Euravia became Britannia winter 1964/1965 with the delivery of the first Britannia 102s from BOAC. The 8 Constellations were retired quite rapidly Spring '65 as more Britannias were acquired, with the last L.749A being withdrawn from use 8.65 at Luton. Some were sold, mainly to ACE Freighters, a few scrapped immediately.
On a thread, currently languishing back on index page 6 of the 'EGGP History and Memories' section is an account of all Constellation visits to Liverpool Airport. Several posts down in that thread, the disposal of the Euravia aircraft are provided with brief comment. As Euravia acquired their first 3 Connies 2.62, it would put the year as either 1962, 1963 or 1964, certainly impossible to be later than mid summer 1965.
I don't have the familiarity with Manchester scenery to tell if the photo is from the original terminal, or from one of the newly built piers of the mid 60s new terminal - nor do I have to hand the date the terminal came into use. This information could pin down the year further.

Euravia was founded in Spring 1962, it's first flight from Ringway being in May that year. The new terminal opened for traffic in December that year. Whilst Euravia operated some further flights in 1962, it did not have a regular IT operation until 1963.
The photo appears to have been taken from the end of one of the new piers, possibly A, looking at the position of the aircraft to the black hangers and the ramp markings.
The aircraft has a large freight door fitted, which Euravia's three original Connies did not have, nor did the two acquired in Oct 62, so it is one of the three so fitted, acquired with/from Skyways in Sept 62. G-ALAK/L. G-ANUR

If it's either AL or AK, it was taken between August 65 and mid September 66.
AL was the Connie that sat on it's tail at LPL after a Dublin cigarette run. Can't find the date though.

Can't be certain without a date but having studied other photo's of the two, these are of LAK. All the photo's I've seen of LAL opping for ace show her with a silver nose and the reg is to the rear of the last window. LAK has a black nose and the reg is forward of the rear window. Cant find any of k or L with a black forward door and suspect this has been coloured in on your photo. Hope this helps
