Found on the Civillian airline site was the following:- Two hangars at Eddsfield airfield in Yorkshire have apparently collapsed under the weight of snow, potential damaging/writing off up to 30-40 aircraft www.eastyorkshire.co.uk/eddsfield/index.htmI don't know how true the numbers are, I went two years ago and logged under 20- still it is:- Sad news. From a report in this months LAAS magazine:- G-ATML C150, G-CNAB Jabiru, and G-JBRS Rv8 were rescued from the front of the hangar. (Undamaged) Also a group of owners cut a hole in the back of one of the hangars and the following were also rescued undamaged. G-CCFK Europa, G-CDXG Pegasus and G-FLIS M16c Away on maintenance at the time were G-GOLF TB10, G-HRNT C182, HB-CIU C172, and N3540U C172, both the latter waiting to go G- Now the bad news:- G-AYFG Condor, G-BPNA C150, and G-RECK PA28 are all W/O's The report goes on to say that it will not be until the middle of January when the remainder of aircraft still in the wreck of the hangars are recovered.
